Six people have died after Israel struck Gaza on Saturday, hours after US President Donald Trump asked it to stop. Earlier in the day, the radical Palestinian group that controls Gaza, had reportedly shown willingness to release hostages. Trump had said that it was necessary for Israel to stop bombing in order to implement phase 1. of the peace plan that he has proposed.
The Israeli fire killed six people across Gaza Strip. As per reports, one strike killed four people in a house in Gaza city while two were killed in Khan Younis in the South.
Earlier on Saturday, Netanyahu’s office had said that they are preparing for an immediate implementation of the first stage of Trump’s peace plan. Trump has been insisting that only he could bring an end to this Israel-Hamas war. However, every time Trump takes credit for peace, a ceasefire violation takes place.
Trump’s peace plan
Earlier on 29th September, Donald Trump had released its 20 point peace plan to end the war in Gaza. Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu even publicly backed his proposal while at the White House. Hamas was given time till Sunday to accept or face grave consequences. Trump had said Hamas is ready to peace, agreeing to release hostages while accepting some terms laid down by Trump.

On 7th October, 2023, Hamas terrorists attacked Israel where over 1200 people were killed and over 250 taken away as hostage back to Gaza. Of which, even after almost 2 years, 40 hostages, of which 20 are believed to be alive, remain as hostages.
