Reality TV star Rakhi Sawant once again managed to steal the spotlight with her trademark eccentricity. On her arrival in Mumbai for the shoot of Pati Patni Aur Panga, she dropped yet another bizarre bombshell in front of the paparazzi.
With a straight face, Rakhi told photographers: “Meri maa ab iss duniya mein nahi rahi… unhone mere liye ek chitthi chhodi thi ki tumhare asli papa toh Donald Trump hai.”
The remark, connecting her lineage to former U.S. President Donald Trump, instantly sparked laughter among the gathered media. When one photographer teased her about Trump giving Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi a hard time, Rakhi shot back: “Thank you so much. Mere se panga na lo.”
While her Trump quip added yet another chapter to her long list of quirky public statements, Rakhi also opened up about deeper struggles. She revealed that the deaths of both her parents to cancer had pushed her to leave India temporarily.
“I wanted to hide from all of you, that’s why I went to Dubai,” she admitted, adding that she needed space away from the relentless media glare.
Reports suggest Rakhi has bought a luxury apartment in Dubai and is now channeling her energy into new ventures, including an acting academy in Al Karama aimed at aspiring Bollywood talents from the Middle East.
Legal storms with ex-husband
But even overseas, controversies have followed her. Rakhi’s personal life has been marred by a messy split from ex-husband Adil Khan Durrani. She has accused him of domestic abuse, financial mismanagement, and extortion. Adil, in turn, has leveled counter-allegations of property fraud, infidelity, and leaking his private videos.
Critics have even speculated that Rakhi’s move to Dubai was intended to avoid arrest in connection with these cases, although she insists the move was driven by professional opportunities and a desire for a fresh start.
Still the lovable controversy queen
From joking that Donald Trump is her father to candidly discussing personal grief, Rakhi Sawant continues to keep the spotlight firmly on herself. Love her or loathe her, she remains Bollywood’s most unpredictable entertainer—someone who can make the world laugh one moment and shock it the next.
