Pakistan Army handed guns to Kashmiris, now calls us terrorists: Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir leader Aman Khan

Protests in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir against the Pakistan government have been raging for weeks. Despite Pakistani establishment’s attempts to suppress the protests using force, the movement continues to gather strength. The protests are being led by Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC).

On the 24th day of the protests, 80,000 demonstrators gathered at the Eidgah grounds in Rawalakot in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Addressing the gathering, JAAC leader Sardar Aman Khan launched a scathing attack on Pakistan government and exposed their actions in Kashmir.

Aman Khan shared how Pakistan is responsible for giving birth to extremism in Kashmir through its Army. Khan shared that it was the Pakistan Army that originally supplied guns and ammunition to Kashmiris. He said, “Was it not the Pakistan Army itself that handed guns to Kashmiris. And today, they have the audacity to call us terrorists.”

Aman Khan also exposed how the current Pakistan government is hand in glove with terror groups and keeps on supporting them. Referring to a Jaish-e-Mohammad event from February 2025,  in which armed participants marched through the city carrying AK-47s and swords, he said that the Deputy Commissioner of Rawalakot allowed and provided security to the rally.

Khan also said that if Pakistan doesn’t accept 38 demands of protesters, then their protest will just have a single demand- Removal of Pakistan from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. He said that in case their demands are not met, the movement is going to lead a protest march towards the capital of PoK, Muzaffarabad.

He said, “If the march takes place, the movement’s focus will change from the 38 economic demands to a singular, political resolution: demanding that Pakistan completely vacate PoJK.”

The protesters had earlier issued a warning that if Pakistan doesn’t listen to their demands, they will start looking to develop a stronger partnership with India.

So far, Pakistan has refused to listen to the demands of the protesters, and has instead tried to block supply of essentials like food and medicines to the region. Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif even said that the people of Rawalakot, the epicenter of protests, are not even Kashmiris.
