Cockroach Janta Party, the new shiny toy of Indian opposition, held a protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Saturday, June 6. This alleged party, which has gained quite a following on Instagram, apparently held the protest over the recent NEET exam leak and the discrepancies in CBSE’s On Screen Marking system. However, the flop show of a protest turned out to be just another random leftist protest that we see every once in a while in Delhi.
The protest was held after Cockroach Janta Party’s founder Abhijeet Dipke landed in Delhi from United States. However, more reporters arrived at the protest site than students.
One feels for the students who thought this online ‘movement’ will talk about their problems, their concerns, and the issues facing them. The entire protest involved Andolanjeevis who live at Jantar Mantar and join every random protest, left wing people, and random anarchists who have a problem with anything and everything.
Interestingly, during this protest, ‘Azaadi’ slogans, hallmark of protests by leftist student unions, were also raised. Even the few genuine students who had turned up for the protest, mistakenly believing that their concerns will be highlighted during the protest, were left disillusioned.

This raises a question, of which we all already know the answer actually. Was this Cockroach stunt actually about students or was it just another leftist ploy to try and instigate people against the Indian government.
With so many ex-Aam Aadmi Party guys involved with this Cockroach Janta Party and Arvind Kejriwal publicly supporting them, the cat was out of the bag long before, but these Azaadi slogans have confirmed what everyone already knew.
Most of the students knew better than to join this farce of a protest, but the few who did turn up, must have left feeling disappointed that these people have used a genuine student grievance for their politics.
