An Indian Air Force AN-32 aircraft met with an accident while landing in Assam, which triggered a fire. The incident occurred while the aircraft, AN-32, belonging to 43 Squadron, carrying cargo, was landing at the IAF’s airbase in the Rowriah area in Jorhat, Assam.
Reporting about the incident, the Indian Air Force said, “An IAF An-32 aircraft met with an accident today while landing at Jorhat. A court of inquiry is being constituted, to ascertain the cause of the accident.”

Reportedly, the AN-32 aircraft went down within the Air Force Station premises while landing.
The reason behind the crash is still being ascertained and there is still no confirmation of any fatalities or injuries.
Emergency response teams were deployed to the spot, and rescue operations were immediately initiated to control the blaze and assess the situation. The fire brigades were also quickly moved to the area to deal with the fire.
