Following the controversy over CBSE’s digital evaluation system, the Centre government has transferred the Board’s Chairman Rahul Singh and Secretary Himanshu Gupta. Centre has also ordered an inquiry into the procurement of On-Screen Marking (OSM) services.

This move from the government came after criticism of CBSE’s evaluation and post-result processes. CBSE’s exam process and the way it was executed has caused concerns among students, parents and teachers across the country.

The government has also set up an inquiry committee to investigate the entire issue. Though committee’s mandate hasn’t been made public yet, the committee is expected to probe how the tender for the On-Screen Marking (OSM) services was awarded.

A few students have raised discrepancies in the OSM system of CBSE, and the government is addressing their concerns now.

Students had claimed that they encountered blurred pages, missing sections and difficulties using the Board’s online services.
