Al Falah University in Faridabad is gathering a lot of notoriety these days after the Red Fort terror attack accused were linked to the University in Haryana. Now the brother of the Chancellor of the University has been arrested by the Madhya Pradesh police from Hyderabad in connection with nearly 25-year-old fraud cases, news agency PTI reported.
Al Falah University in Haryana has come under a lot of scrutiny following the Red Fort metro station blast in Delhi as the accused suspected to have carried out the blasts all had links with this University.
Notably, an investigation is also underway to ascertain how the University got the land for its expansion in 2014.
A reward of Rs 10,000 had been reportedly announced on the arrested accused Hamood Ahmad Siddiqui, the younger brother of Al Falah University’s Chancellor Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui.
Notably, on November 10, a terror attack took place outside the Red Fort metro station in the national capital Delhi killing 13 people and injuring at least 20 others. The people involved in the blast were found to be doctors linked to the Al Falah University in Faridabad, Haryana.
Now, the brother of the University Chancellor has been arrested in connection with three cases registered in Madhya Pradesh’s Mhow town for alleged investment fraud of around Rs 40 lakh, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Yangchen Dolkar Bhutia told reporters.
The arrest reportedly took place on Sunday, November 16.
