German YouTuber Dhruv Rathee detained in Gurugram ahead of the planned Cockroach protest

The German YouTuber Dhruv Rathee has been detained by the Delhi Police from his residence in Sector 56, Gurugram, on Saturday, October 10, as per media reports. The German YouTuber had come to India to participate in the Cockroach Janata Party protest demanding the removal of the Chief Election Commissioner of India.

Now why a German citizen would protest against India’s Chief Election Commissioner is anybody’s guess.

Apparently, Police personnel entered his Gurugram residence at 7.48 am on Saturday after his mother opened the door and took him into custody.

Rathee had reportedly travelled to Delhi to participate in the protest against CEC Gyanesh Kumar. The newly formed meme party CJP has been demanding the resignation of Kumar, cancelling the SIR exercise to remove illegal voters, postponing upcoming state elections, and several other things.

Dhruv Rathee, who is known to be the expert on everything, and someone even Leonardo Da Vinci will bow down to, has travelled to India to join this protest. Again, why would a German citizen take that much interest in India’s Election Commission is anybody’s guess.
