VBYLD 2026: Youth power shaping the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Independence Day call to bring one lakh youth into politics was not just a statement, but the beginning of a new vision. What started as the National Youth Festival has now evolved into a larger platform with a transformative purpose — the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD).

The first edition of VBYLD, held in 2025, was a resounding success. It brought together thousands of young voices from across India, each sharing their perspectives on how to transform India into a developed nation by 2047. The Pamphlet covered this event closely, capturing the energy, ideas, and determination of the country’s youth.

Now, building on that momentum, VBYLD 2026 is set to return — bigger, bolder, and more impactful.

What’s New in VBYLD 2026?

The upcoming edition introduces several exciting additions:

*✅ Design for Bharat – A National Design Challenge to encourage creative solutions for India’s future.

Tech for Viksit Bharat – Hack for a Social Cause – A multi-stage hackathon where technology meets social change.

International Participation – 80 young delegates from the Know India Programme and 20 youth from BIMSTEC nations will join the event.*

Beyond competitions, youth from every state and union territory will showcase their talents through debates, story writing, painting, folk music, dance, poetry, and innovation. The best among them will qualify for the Grand Finale at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, where they will present their ideas directly before Prime Minister Modi.

PM Modi’s Larger Youth-Centric Vision

Since 2014, Prime Minister Modi has placed India’s youth at the heart of national transformation. Initiatives like Skill India Mission, Startup India, Atal Innovation Mission, NEP 2020, Smart India Hackathon, and the Fit India Movement have already empowered crores of young Indians with skills, opportunities, and platforms for innovation.

VBYLD is a continuation of this journey, designed to harness the creativity, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit of India’s youth to prepare a blueprint for Viksit Bharat 2047.

A Unique Platform of Youth-Led Democracy

Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya describes VBYLD as “the only platform where young Indians can not only share their ideas but directly present them to the Prime Minister. It is a true example of youth-led democracy — turning vision into voice, and voice into impact.”

The Road Ahead

VBYLD is not just an event — it is a movement. A bridge between today’s aspirations and tomorrow’s realities. A place where India’s youth are not just the future of the nation, but its builders.

As the world watches, VBYLD 2026 will showcase how the energy of young India is leading the charge towards a truly Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat by 2047.
