On June 15, Cockroach Janta Party founder and former Aam Aadmi Party functionary Abhijeet Dipke was slapped during his party’s protest held in Jaipur. During the all India tourist run of CJP, Dipke was taking part in the protest in Jaipur when he was repeatedly slapped by people near the Shaheed Smarak.

Notably, Abhijeet Dipke comes from the stable of Aam Aadmi Party. Dipke did not hold an official political post with AAP but he was a political communications strategist, content creator, and media advisor for the party. Interestingly, Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal was also attacked like this during his road shows when AAP started its political journey. Now someone who started his political career with them is also getting slapped as he embarks on a new political journey with CJP. Surely a coincidence.
Just to be clear, violence is abhorrent, particularly in public life. Politicians, and thats what CJP founder is, a politician, should be free to campaign for themselves without any fear of violence. But sometimes it becomes hard to take things at face value.
After all, politicians from every party conduct these road shows, there is no party with which every Indian is happy, and yet, these slaps happen to leaders of a select few parties. What could be the reason?
Cockroach Janta Party has organised its protests in a few cities over the last few days, starting from Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. However, they haven’t been able to attract too many youngsters with reporters often outnumbering the protestors.
Could this be a stunt to try and get some buzz back around CJP, or was it actually a genuinely frustrated citizen who had enough of this party’s shenanigans.
