Ahead of the ongoing T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, Pakistan created a lot of drama after their government said Pakistan team will boycott the match against India during the tournament. The decision was apparently taken in support of Bangladesh who had decided to boycott the entire World Cup after their player Mustafizur Rahman wasn’t allowed to play in the IPL.. Err sorry, over security fears for their players (officially).

However, as expected Pakistan backtracked after they were told how much they stand to lose from cancellation of India-Pakistan contest. Once Pakistan heard money, they were right on board and gave green signal to play India in the World Cup. After all, Urdu may be country’s official language but they understand language of money best, a bankrupt person has to.

Laughingly, Pakistan is now popularising AI-Generated videos in the country to show that ICC bowed down to their bold stand. Yeah, sure.

Anyway, now Pakistan Cricket Board has allegedly made another offer to International Cricket Council. PCB has told ICC that if they can get some more money from the tournament, Pakistan will be willing to play even the Bangladesh matches of the World Cup.

A senior official of the Pakistan board said, “It is a decent proposal. ICC gets their matches, we get more money, something we always need, what is the harm?”

When asked that you were looking to boycott the tournament in support of Bangladesh, and now you are seeking to play even more matches, the official said, “Oho, this is all in solidarity with Bangladesh only. They will feel represented if we play matches on their behalf. After all we are brothers. They fought a war to separate from us but they are brothers.”

Further pressed on the topic of boycott of India which never happened, the official said, “Bhai humein hamari salaries bhi leni hain. If we boycott India’s matches, from where will revenue come for our board, from where will we get salaries, from where will we feed our families?”

The senior official further said that playing all the Bangladesh matches in the World Cup will generate even more revenue for Pakistan Cricket Board during the World Cup.

“And if we qualify on Bangladesh behalf, maybe we will meet India in the next round as well for another India-Pakistan contest. That will be like a bumper Diwali for us, oh sorry bumper Eid”, the official said.
