Afghanistan-Pakistan conflict: Taliban issues warning to Pakistan that they will defend their territory against any aggression

After the failure of the negotiations between Pakistan and Afghanistan held in Turkey, Taliban issued a statement under the title “Clarification”. In their statement, Taliban said that our delegation participated in the Istanbul talks with good intentions, but the Pakistani delegation shifted all responsibilities.

It was stated in the statement that Pakistan was neither willing to take any responsibility for Afghanistan’s security nor for its own security. The statement added that the irresponsible and uncooperative attitude of the Pakistani delegation caused the negotiations to yield no results.

“We reiterate that we will not allow anyone to use Afghan territory against another country, nor will we allow any country to take actions against Afghanistan’s national sovereignty, independence, and security from its own territory, or support such actions. The Muslim people of Pakistan are brothers of the Afghans, and we wish them goodwill and peace. We will cooperate with them within the scope of our responsibilities and capabilities”, Taliban’s statement said.

Finally, the statement warned that defending the Afghan nation and its territory is Taliban’s religious and national duty, and they will defend it with the support of their people against any aggression.
