Union Home Minister Amit Shah today took to X to announce that he has switched to Zoho.
Hello everyone,
— Amit Shah (@AmitShah) October 8, 2025
I have switched to Zoho Mail. Kindly note the change in my email address.
My new email address is amitshah.bjp @ https://t.co/32C314L8Ct. For future correspondence via mail, kindly use this address.
Thank you for your kind attention to this matter.
In a post, he said that he has switched to Zoho Mail and shared his email id for correspondence. He concluded the post with ‘Thank you for your kind attention to this matter’, a signature line used by US President Donald Trump.
US President’s line has become sort of a joke after he has taken to his social media platform Truth Social to rant about India and raising tariff on India just months after coming back to power.
Following the tariff threats, India has pushed for ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ yet again with focus on ‘Make In India’ initiative. Under the same, there has been a conversation about a ‘Swadeshi 2.0’ movement that talks about using Indian products.
Zoho platform is an Indian-origin cloud based platform developed by Zoho Corporation, a Chennai-based company. Following the ‘Swadeshi 2.0’ call, many ministries have also switched to Zoho.
I am moving to Zoho — our own Swadeshi platform for documents, spreadsheets & presentations. 🇮🇳

I urge all to join PM Shri @narendramodi Ji’s call for Swadeshi by adopting indigenous products & services. pic.twitter.com/k3nu7bkB1S
Other than the Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw, Ministry of Education, too, has switched to Zoho mail.
Zoho Corporation has also launched a messaging app, Arattai, which aims to replace other foreign based chat apps, thereby to bring in the Swadeshi 2.0.
