In a major internal security breakthrough, the Chhattisgarh government has declared Abujhmarh and North Bastar free from Naxal terror. Since January 2024, after the BJP government assumed office, 2,100 Naxalites have surrendered, 1,785 have been arrested, and 477 neutralised. Officials confirm that only limited activity remains in South Bastar, with full eradication of Naxalism targeted by March 31, 2026.
