Second anniversary of Pran Pratistha at Ram Mandir: Remembering the day our civilisation reclaimed its soul

Today marks the 2nd anniversary of the Pran Pratistha of Shri Ram Mandir. The day commemorates a defining civilisational moment when Bharatiya civilisation emerged from centuries of historical injustice and reclaimed its spiritual and cultural centre.

It symbolises not merely the consecration of a deity, but the restoration of historical truth and collective dignity.

Let us have a look at the journey that inspires and will keep on inspiring Bharatiyas for generations to come.

1528-1947: A wound that refused to heal

In 1528, the demolition of the original temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi by Mir Baqi was an attempt to erase civilisational memory.

Yet, for over 500 years, the site remained alive in Hindu consciousness, through oral traditions, pilgrimages, and unbroken faith.

While empires rose and fell, devotion to Bhagwan Shri Ram endured as a quiet, persistent resistance.

Faith rekindled through the people

The sacred site repeatedly resurfaced through public assertion. In 1751, the Marathas reclaimed Ayodhya, and in 1858, Nihang Sikhs asserted worship rights, reaffirming the site’s sanctity.

These moments reflected a continuous civilisational effort to protect and remember Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.

1949-1986: From awakening to assertion

The appearance of Ram Lalla in 1949 transformed faith into a nationwide movement, even as administrative locks restricted darshan.

Legal efforts began in 1950, and after 37 years, the gates were finally opened on 1 February 1986, allowing devotees long-denied access to their deity.

1992-2019: Justice through history and law

Mass mobilisation between 1989-1992 brought the issue to national consciousness. The Allahabad High Court verdict (2010) provided partial clarity.

But the true resolution came on 9 November 2019, when the Supreme Court unanimously restored the entire land to Ram Lalla, based on ASI evidence, historical continuity, and legal reasoning.

2020-2024: A civilisation comes home

The Bhoomi Pujan on 5 August 2020, the historic Pran Pratistha on 22 January 2024 and the unfurling of Dharma Dhwaj on 25 November 2025; together, marked the spiritual culmination of a centuries-old struggle.

Today, Shri Ram Mandir stands as a testament to civilisational resilience, historical correction, and cultural self-confidence, a reminder that faith, preserved with patience, ultimately reshapes history.
