But we’ll tell you what the Prime Minister didn’t write in his tweet: Something he shared only with NDA MPs.
So, through this dinner, PM Modi created an informal, open, and learning-filled gathering with NDA MPs, where the conversation ranged from election strategy to personal discipline and public engagement.
At dinner, all the dishes were vegetarian, representing the entire Indian subcontinent, from Kahwa to Gongura Paneer. The dishes chosen showcased India’s true diversity, and this is again showcasing how PM Modi thinks of the entire country all the time.
During the meeting, PM Modi said that anger management in public life is crucial for all of us, as anger can ruin even the best of works. Prime Minister Modi explained that he has never reprimanded an official in anger, but rather has managed his anger. This is something the younger generation is grappling with. This is the biggest test for politicians, as anger erodes a leader’s credibility, and restraint is the true strength.
So, regarding anger management, PM Modi told the MPs that when he gets angry, he writes about the incident and the person on paper, expresses his anger, and then tears it up. Meaning, anger was expressed and nothing went wrong – this is something worth learning.
At this dinner, discussions also took place regarding Prime Minister Modi’s schedule – Whether it was managing a busy schedule, dealing with pressure, or reducing stress. When asked how he always remains calm, PM Modi said that clarity of objective relieves stress. He then spoke about the Gujarat bomb blasts, saying that at that time many people had refused to meet the public due to security reasons, but giving priority to his duty, he decided to go among the people.
When it came to staying healthy and energetic, PM Modi talked about discipline and good sleep, and said that he sleeps only 3.5 hours a day, but sleep quality matters more, this surprised many MPs.
He then emphasized the importance of respecting time, saying that a leader who takes time lightly loses the public’s trust, because governance never runs late; governance always follows a disciplined clock.
PM Modi also explained that today’s politics is communication-driven, and social media is not an option but a battlefield. If MPs don’t create their own narrative, someone else will create a false narrative on their behalf.
Throughout the evening, the Prime Minister visited every table and met every MP.
This mix of leaders from different regions, with varying experiences and ages was a perfect micro-representation for the Prime Minister, where he could feel the seasoned experience, regional diversity, and the energy of the new generation all together.
Gradually, the formal talks turned into an open discussion, and the atmosphere began to feel as if it was not the Prime Minister’s table, but a lively classroom of politics, where the experience of the seniors, the curiosity of the youth, and the spontaneity of the Prime Minister were visible in the same frame.
More than just food, PM Modi prepared a menu to suit the minds of the leaders, where issues like discipline, anger control, time management and social media strategy were discussed openly.
