Veteran actor Satish Shah, known for his comedic timing, and famous for his iconic roles in sitcoms like Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, and in movies like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Main Hoon na etc, has died at the age of 74. Satish Shah was suffering from a kidney ailment.
Satish Shah died on Saturday, October 25, at around 2:30 pm at Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital. The funeral of the veteran actor will take place on Sunday in Mumbai.
Satish Shah graduated from Film and Television Institute of India and started appearing in small roles in the 1970s. Over the next 4 decades, Shah featured in several highly successful films and television shows.
Shah acted in films like Hum Saath-Saath Hain, Om Shanti Om, Main Hoon Na, Kal Ho Na Ho, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na, and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge among others. However, he is best known for his role as Indravadan Sarabhai in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, and as Municipal Commissioner D’Mello in Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro.
