Bihar: NDA government’s oath ceremony to take place on November 20, PM Modi and senior union ministers likely to attend

In the recently held Bihar elections, the National Democratic Alliance cruised to a thumping majority crushing the mahagathbandan alliance. In the 243 members assembly, the NDA alliance won 202 seats routing the opposition.

Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar is all set to once again take oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar, the 10th time he will be doing so. He is the longest serving Chief Minister of Bihar.

JDU MLAs are going to meet today, Monday, November 17, to officially propose Nitish Kumar’s name as the Chief Minister and it is likely to be accepted.

JDU and its partner BJP will reportedly will have equal number of ministers in the cabinet with Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) getting 3 ministerial berths.

The oath ceremony is set to be a grand event with several senior politicians of the NDA and various dignitaries to be present. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to be a part of the ceremony to celebrate the massive victory for the alliance.

The historic Gandhi Maidaan in Patna is set to be the venue for the oath ceremony with security being tightened around the venue for smooth conduct of the grand ceremony.
